Global Infrastructure, Finance & Development Authority, Inc. (GIFDA) participated in the Climate Investment Summit 2024, organized by the World Climate Foundation and held in London during the city's Climate Action Week.The Climate Investment Summit partnered for its third year with the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) to host its global finance event at the prestigious London Stock Exchange. The Summit aimed to drive impact through sector-specific and market-driven actions, investments and partnerships demanded by investors to help limit global warming to 1.5°C.

As part of the World Climate Network, a partner of the World Climate Foundation, the Climate Investment Summit is a key event in a yearlong roadmap of activities for engaging, informing and connecting stakeholders on climate solutions. The 2024 roadmap includes international milestone events that leverage collaboration and joint action to catalyze investments in climate solutions leading up to COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Climate Investment Summit convened high -profile public and private sector stakeholders, including asset managers, asset owners, project developers, international organizations, and government representatives. The event took a market-oriented approach toward investments in key sectors such as energy, buildings, industry, transportation and nature in both developed and developing markets 1204243249 before 2030.
